You were never like traditionally weak "अबला" Indian ladies, yet you submitted so meekly and suffered in silence for so many years?
Now that MJ Akbar, most high profile accused of #MeToo victims, has lost his name, fame & coveted position in the Govt, will the Hon'ble #MeToo ladies answer following ?
Why is it that they put up with dirty touch,dirty stare/lecherous looks at themselves 20-30 yrs ago ?
Why did they allow themselves to be used as "casting couch" for the successful launching of their careers?
Instead of bearing with dirty touch & lecherous looks at them, why didn't they slap men guilty of sexual predating at the very first instance?
Why didn't they exercise their right to quit jobs of men, who indulged in their sexual exploitation/harassment?
Why did all these ladies put up with sexual predatory behaviour of men for 20-30 years?
Sorry #MeToo ladies, you were not illiterate,destitute traditional "अबला". On the contrary, almost all of you happen to be urbane, articulate, outgoing,highly educated, highly conscious and aware about your constitutional rights to (gender)equality/legal provisions against sexual predatory behaviour of men, yet all of you remained quiet for so long?
Isn't it that in majority of the cases, you too compromised to see to it that you got the jobs of your choices and climbed up the ladder of success in your careers fast and become rich, famous and powerful?
In case, you allowed yourselves to avail of "favours" of men and put up with their sexual predatory behaviour for several years, you can't play victim now.
